LADIG, in conjunction with the LA Conservancy, is proud to announce a special sunset photo tour of Downtown Los Angeles. This walking tour will be on our regular Tuesday evening, but starting a little earlier at 5:30pm. 

We'll meet in Pershing Square and the tour will start there. There is validated parking under Pershing Square for $5.00, or better yet take the Metro Red Line to the Pershing Square Station.

Our tour will end around 7:30pm and we'll adjourn for dinner at a neighborhood restaurant (dinner is not included in the registration fee.)

LA Conservancy - as part of their advocacy to recognize, preserve, and revitalize the historic architectural and cultural resources of Los Angeles County -  has been providing walking tours of Los Angeles for 30 years. This evening's tour highlights Downtown's modern skyline including the Biltmore Hotel, Gas Company Tower, Public Library, Standard Hotel, City National Bank Plaza and the Bonaventure Hotel.

The tour is designed as a walking tour, and although they will slow down the pace for us to take pictures, serious architectural photographers should consider this more of a scouting trip than a pure photographic opportunity. Tripods will not be permitted due to safety issues (you can imagine trying to walk past a two dozen photographers' tripods...) monopods will be okay.

You will learn a great deal about these magnificent buildings which will give you a greater insight to capturing their essence in an image. 

Registration is open to members and non-members, but limited to a maximum of 30 people. So don't wait to register!

Meeting Location: Pershing Square, located at Olive Street and 6th Street in downtown Los Angeles.  Tour meets in the center of the park, near the mini-groves of orange trees.
Parking:  $5 validated parking is available at Pershing Square Garage, located at Olive Street and 6th Street in downtown Los Angeles.
Metro:  Red Line to Pershing Square Station.  Follow the signs to Pershing Square exit, then cross the street to the park.
